Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Spokesperson Boreddy Ayodhya Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the leaders of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party are involved in land grabbing activities.
“The State government is acquiring land for the TSIIC (Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation) in Turkapally. In survey number 72 which has 155 acres, notification was issued for 108 acres of land. In this, the TSIIC took just 93 acres of the land while the rest of 15 acres have been grabbed by Alair MLA Gongidi Sunitha Mahender Reddy,” he alleged. Boreddy also questioned how Sunita, who had a white ration card before becoming an MLA, has hundreds of crores of rupees worth assets now. “Investigation should be done on the remaining 15 acres of land.
The cheques, which were given to 43 farmers by the State government for acquiring the land, have bounced,” Reddy pointed out. After Congress announced six guarantees, tremors started among BRS party leaders, he said, adding that Congress would now come to power in Telangana hands down. Minister T Harish Rao is now scared of defeat, he said.
